Rally Car at the New Shop

My brother's business, SportsCar Restoration, has outgrown the 2000ish square feet of the old shop, up next 6000+ square feet of new shop. I was lucky enough to get this nice pic today while doing some work. Click the pic to see it in full size!

Maine Forest Rally 2006

Dirty Road Meet, October 5, 2008 1pm

On Sunday October 5th at 1pm, there will be a 25 mile fun drive around northeast CT, from Union to Pomfret.

The drive starts here...

goes over this...

and ends here....

The drive is about 40% dirt or so, all public roads. The plan is for each car to drive at their own pace, leaving the start area about a minute apart, this will allow for dust to settle and allow each car to drive at their own pace. This is not a race. Each car should bring a printout of the directions which will be available soon. These directions are identical to the map here, but are will change before October 5th, so make sure you check back the Friday October 3rd.

Welcome to Abington Rally!

This is the blog to keep track of Abington Connecticut's most exciting, highest funded, most succesful (and only) rally team! Abington Rally is currently preparing a 1996 Subaru Impreza for entry in events during 2009.

Headed by driver Dan McGinn, Abington Rally is looking forward to some kind of an existence in the rally community. Co-driving the firebreathing 1.8l monster will be the duo of Matt "LeBoner" LeMasters and Todd "Gritty" Foley (tm).

Cage Work

The cage is just about finished, here's Gritty doing some TIG welding.... We decided to TIG the majority of the cage because Gritty has been welding for longer than he's been drinking...and that's a long time.
